You will never believe what this bride bought her groom for their wedding! I mean seriously, I'm not sure you're going to be able to guess this one...
A shotgun y'all! An honest to goodness, real life, brand new shotgun! And of course, being the creatively obsessed photographer that I am, I requested he point it at me so I could get a detail shot (pun intended) of the barrel. His automatic response was, "that goes against all the rules of gun ownership". BUT, I'm somewhat convincing and he did it anyway! Let me just say, it was totally worth it! It was one of my favorite photographs of the entire day.
This wedding was absolutely gorgeous. The perfect combination of simple, whimsical and shabby chic. I was so impressed with Allison's creativity. She did her own makeup. She chose every detail of the wedding decor (while also caring for an adorable, strong willed, almost two year old). She made all her own centerpieces and florals. And when I say "made", I actually mean it. She didn't just put flowers together and tie them with a pretty bow. All of her gorgeous florals were made out of wood and wire. She is a wedding decor rock star! At one point, the entire bridal party recommended she get started with an Etsy online shop. We were all blown away by her creativity!
We expected rain and wind all day! Instead, we got the perfect amount of cloud coverage and a five minute sprinkle just before the ceremony. A little rain on your wedding day is good luck right? Gotta love Florida's bipolar weather patterns. In this case, it actually worked in our favor. Which, almost never happens. Every aspect of the day fell into place just right. We were on time for every portion of it (which also almost never happens). It might even be possible that we were ahead of schedule at one point. Although, even if we hadn't been on time, it wouldn't have made much of a difference. This was the most relaxed bride and bridal party I have ever had the opportunity to work with. I mean, they were taking shots of Captain y'all! It could not have been a more fun crowd to photograph.
If I could sum up this wedding day in one word, it would be FUN! I genuinely enjoyed working with Allison and Daniel. I could honestly hang out with them all the time! I am so grateful for the opportunity to work with them and am so honored that they chose me to capture their beautiful day!
Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Murray! I can't imagine two people more perfect for each other. Cheers (with a Natty Light/Captain bottle) to the next fifty years of laughter, shot gunning, hunting and good times!
