This one gives me all the feels! This wedding was so extra special for me! The new Mr. &
Mrs. Dawson are two of our very best friends! And when I say "we," I am referring to my husband Clay & myself. They are our weekend warriors and travel companions! We have had the pleasure of explorying with them, barbequing with them, hiking with them, and lots of fun adventures in between. To say that capturing their wedding day was an honor, is a massive understatement!
So, let's start from the beginning...These love birds began their journey on good ol' Tinder. We joke that Emily only swiped right because she saw 6"4' on Blaine's profile. Blaine is the definition of "tall, dark and handsome" and who doesn't want to find that in a man? But, all jokes aside, they could not be more perfect for each other. They both love to travel, enjoy exceptional food, and come from very similar backgrounds. They are northwestern natives who happened to have found each other in the southeastern melting pot that is Jacksonville, Florida.
Emily and Blaine had originally planned to elope to Hawaii. Hawaii y'all! As good as I think my photos are, these were most definitely not taken in Hawaii. Unfortunately, like many other brides and grooms during the COVID-19 virus, they were forced to change their plans and reschedule their festivities. Hawaii was cancelled with reluctance. It was understandable very upsetting for them both. They decided to make the best of the situation and rescheduled their nuptuals to take place at the lovely Hammock Beach Resort in Palm Coast, Florida. Not exactly the Hawaiian dream wedding they were expecting. But, in truly Emily and Blaine fashion, they made the best of the situation! We popped bottles of champagne & danced our hearts out! I have never had more fun celebrating with a couple. Words cannot describe how grateful I am to have been asked to be a part of their big day.
My heartfelt congratulations goes out to the new Mr. & Mrs. Dawson! Cheers to years and years of new and exciting adventures to come! Love you guys!!!
