I am absolutely obsessed with every aspect of this engagement session. The lighting! The
location! The couple! Meet Kale and Amanda, the cutest Georgian couple you ever did see. The first thing they said to me when we were scheduling the engagement photoshoot was, "we love the water." One of their pasttimes is boating and much of their free time is spent out on the water. Luckily, we have quite a few gorgeous waterviews in the area and this was an easy thing to check off the list. So, we ventured to the lovely Jekyll Island!
I could not have asked for a more fun couple to photograph. They were game for anything! They danced. They spun. They bumped hips. They even popped a bottle of champage! If you didn't already know, that's one of my favorite photographs to capture. You can't fake that "bottle popping" reaction! In fact, that was the second thing they mentioned to me in our phone conversation. They only had two engagement photo session requirements: water and champage. I knew we would get along right away!
This lovely couple met just a few years ago on the ever so popular dating app, "hinge". It was an instant connection and as they described it, the rest was history. They were drawn to their mutual love for water and adventure.
A few months ago, I had the privilege of photographing and connecting with the event coordinator at Cedar Lodge on Honey Creek in Waverly, Georgia. It has a comfortable, nautical feel that Kale and Amanda happened to fall in love with. This sweet couple is from Atlanta. And fittingly chose a "destination wedding" of sorts at the Cedar Lodge, where they have the opportunity to arrive by boat. It is right up their alley and a gorgeous location for a dream wedding!
They are saying "I do" in June of 2021 and I can't wait to capture their day! Every nautical, waterfront detail of it! Congratulations on your engagement and all the incredible things in the future to look forward to!
