First things first! I am beyond honored you decided to stop by. I have been going back and forth trying to decide if I could make this blogging thing work. As my momma would say, "you never know unless you try." So here I am! And so are you! Thank you for being here!!

A Little Bit About Me

I live in St. Augustine, Florida with my sweet husband, Clay and adorable puppy, Zoey. Of course, she has grown to a whopping 75 pounds, which doesn't exactly constitute her as a "puppy" aside from the fact that she's a little wild. We bought our adorable little home here just about a year ago (holy moly, where has the time gone?). I am also a Speech-Language Pathologist working in St. Johns County Schools when I am not taking photos. I'm one of those people who enjoys constantly moving. So, I tend to and prefer to wear lots of hats at one time. Of course, just like anyone else, I find time to do things I enjoy as well. My husband and I love to travel! On our most recent "big trip," we visited the Canadian Rockies. I had the pleasure of photographing our sweet friends, Emily and Blaine (you can view their engagement session at and it was absolutely gorgeous!

Each year, we try to plan one big trip, if not two. Any and all recommendations for this year's trip are welcome! In addition to travel, we are huge foodies (well I am, and I can usually convince Clay to try something new). With St. Augustine being a big tourist attraction, there tend to be new additions on a regular basis (lucky for us). If you haven't had the opportunity to visit St. Augustine, I highly recommend it. We love our little life here and wouldn't trade it for the world!

My Start in Photography

Remember that sweet husband I mentioned? He's the reason I pursued photography. For my birthday in May, 2018, he bought my first DSLR camera (Canon Rebel T6). Long story short, I haven't stopped taking photos since! I have since upgraded and added to my camera collection, but I would certainly not be where I am without that little push. With my first camera, I decided to learn some of the technical aspects of photography and took a six week class with Jeff Crass ( He taught me so many little tricks and tools, including intimidating manual mode. Since then, I have grown tremendously and continue to develop new skills along the way with the many incredibly talented individuals I am lucky enough to meet in the photography world. Photography is so much more than just taking photos. It is captured memories, silly moments between you and your loved ones and connection with new, interesting, loving people. I hope I have the opportunity to get to know you, up close and personal!
